by OJH, EMISH & others – OJH (Orrin J. Heller) is my late father who collected material on muscular women from the early 1930’s into the 1990’s. He also had a bit of a side influence in the popularization of Female Body Building in the early 1980’s.  Anyway, he was also a photographer who took thousands of pics of many female circus performers and Muscle Beach Women in the 1940’s & 50’s. He did some photo work for an early mail order outfit called Athena Enterprises in the lat 1950’s and this is where the artist/writer EMISH and he first met up. Long before the internet collectors of this interest used the mails to correspond and buy, sell & trade info and images on these incredible women. If this history interest you, this is for you.
